As a motivational speaker and author, Robyn Horn is dedicated to spiritually helping caregivers navigate the journey of caring for the elderly. This is a place where we can share stories, find inspiration, and support each other in this noble and challenging role.
Robyn has a Master’s degree in Long-Term Care Administration from the University of North Texas as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She served as a licensed nursing home administrator for 13 years which included two years at an Alzheimer’s assisted living facility. In 2007, Robyn founded HIS Cornerstone with the passion to help the elderly through the development of continuing education for healthcare professionals.
Robyn currently helps facilitate several caregiver support groups in both facility and community settings while serving as a consultant and presenter for HIS Cornerstone. She is also Author of the book “Transforming the Mundane into Sacred: Spirituality in Caregiving for the Elderly“.
Discovering the Sacred in Everyday Life
In the United States alone, there are over 41 million people who are serving in unpaid caregiver roles for an elderly relative. Taking on this role, while also balancing the various aspects of day-to-day life, can be exhausting and overwhelming.
